AI ILLUSION

The AI ​​illusion is a phenomenon where artificial intelligence systems especially large language models like ChatGPT or Gemini confidently present completely false, unfounded, or fabricated information, yet do so with remarkable fluency and persuasiveness. This illusion arises from the technical nature of the model. AI doesn’t “understand” the truth. Instead, it operates by predicting the probability of the next word appearing in a sentence based on the vast amount of data learned by itself. AI can piece together information that is entirely factual but placed in the wrong context, time, or person, for example, attributing one person’s historical event to another. Some features, like Google’s AI Overviews, scan the entire internet, sometimes extracting information from satirical articles, humorous forums, or jokes, and then presenting it in a serious manner. ChatGPT is trained to “guess and connect words” to continue the conversation with the user in a coherent way. Users may intentionally feed misleading information into ChatGPT. As a result, Google AI is inaccurate and offering non-existent deals, angering customers. Customers need to access Facebook or the website. AI and large language models are prone to spouting nonsense and generating seemingly plausible misinformation. It’s so nonsensical that AI was once accused of fabricating a story about a solar energy company facing a lawsuit for fraudulent sales practices. Human creativity can generate ideas looking both novel and useful. Machine creativity can lead to unique but inaccurate responses—that is, misinformation. Currently, AI contains many illusions not detected by human. Many people have sued AI, but the courts have ruled in favor of AI. Experts advise against asking AI for sources, references, or citations on a specific topic. Or, if such references exist, they must be thoroughly checked for accuracy.

WORD STUDY

A verb can be stative or active. So, in case of stative it cannot be used in continuous tense. That is the reason why English learners have made mistakes in using the complex structures of “when” and “while” .  Their sequences of tenses become so much complicated that only human intellectual can discern them and machine learning can’t, leading to wrong translations.
