UNMOVABLE, UNMOVED, IMMOVABLE, IMMOBILE, MOTIONLESS

She has sat motionless for a time or she has made no moving for a time. Her manner of sitting is just an act under way in reality. But, how could you describe in “she sat unmoving behind the desk”. It’s likely that without a movement she was deep in silence in thinking. This word is used to denote an attitude. Or, she has been able to sit immobile for a while. Something abnormal in her body has caused her unable to move. Figuratively, this word can be used to describe “an immobile workforce” has been on the rise due to recession”.
