Vietnamese flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VA) plans to implement codeshare links with its part-owned low-cost carrier (LCC) Jetstar Pacific, and has introduced new schedules to India as part of its newly announced expansion. The codeshares will initially cover all domestic routes operated by Jetstar Pacific before expanding to international services. The codeshare cooperation will bring more convenient connections at a lower cost to the customers of Vietnam Airlines. Passengers can choose Jetstar Pacific’s domestic and international flights on Vietnam Airlines system, while still enjoying preferential treatment.

The term “code sharing” or “codeshare” was coined in 1989 by Qantas and American Airlines. Codeshare means the cooperation whereby one or two airlines on a single route can sell their own seats for the same flight. Its purpose is to provide passengers with a wider choice of destinations. One airline can sell seats on the other. They can place their code on the other’s flight. This concept can be known that a flight is operated by one airline but marketed by the other. This provides clearer routing for the customer, allowing a customer to book travel from point A to C through point B under one carrier’s code, instead of a customer booking from point A to B under one code, and from point B to C under another code.

For instance, XX123 (flight number 123 operated by the airline XX), might also be sold by airline YY as YY456 and by ZZ as ZZ9876. Airlines YY and ZZ are in this case called “Marketing airlines” (sometimes abbreviated MKT CXR for “marketing carrier”). Most of the major airlines today have code sharing partnerships with other airlines, and code sharing is a key feature of the major airline alliances.

Under a code sharing agreement, the airline that administrates the flight (the one holding the operational permissions, airport slots and planning/controlling the flight and responsible for the ground handling services) is commonly called the operating carrier, often abbreviated OPE CXR.

When an airline sacrifices its capacity to other airlines as a code share partner, its operational cost will generally be reduced to nil.this provides an apparent increase in the frequency of service on the route by one airline.

He’s known to be the one who can write clean code for others in the company to implement it in their own office. One day police has asked his help in breaking a code in a suspect’s message. Not only could he decipher it as an intelligence agent but also would figure out the code of silence revealed by this suspect in a small talk. But, at home he’s really a good dad as seeing code brown or code yellow by his dog he cleans up and change the disposable rack immediately.
